Monique Coleman

monique2Monique is most recognized as Taylor McKessie in Disney's High School Musical franchise. Prior to those films, she received a CAMIE Award for her role in the Hallmark movie The Reading Room, and appeared on shows such as “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody,” “Bones,” and “The Cleveland Show.” Despite her extensive film and television experience, Monique’s roots are in the theater. She holds a BFA in acting from The Theater School at DePaul University and favorite roles include Brooke in Noises Off, the title role in Antigone, Eurydice in Polaroid Stories, and Normal Jean in The Colored Museum. Mo is also the first ever United Nations Youth Champion and when she isn't acting, she's advocating on behalf of youth and girls around the world. She is the founder and CEO of GimmeMo.com and was recently featured in Essence Magazine as an Emerging It Girl. Upcoming films include Free the Nipple, and Naomi and Ely’s No Kiss List. The Maids marks her Off-Broadway debut: “I’m grateful to Sonnet Rep for this opportunity to stretch beyond my comfort zone and grow.”
